Overview
Everdell Farshore is the first title in the Everdell: Edge of the Map series. It features the same acclaimed gameplay as the renowned Everdell board game, while introducing new resources and scoring conditions.
Objectives
- Collaborate with the game designer, illustrator, and production team to create print-ready, professional design files.
- Work with the production team to select complementary color swatches for molded plastic components.
- Develop compelling marketing materials for new release announcements and convention displays.
Approach
Farshore was my first board game project with Tabletop Tycoon, and it came with a steep learning curve. Much of my approach involved referencing existing game files and collaborating closely with an experienced production team to make informed design decisions.
The biggest challenge was managing the initial overwhelm of learning a new process in a new role while working on such a complex project. However, I was able to rely on my years of graphic design experience to meet the challenge, and once I understood the product requirements, much of the work felt familiar and intuitive.
