Animated Trailer
Overview
To create an exciting trailer for a not-yet-released board game that would be featured by Gamefound, the crowd funding platform that would host the campaign.
Approach
I hadn’t used After Effects in quite a few years, so this trailer became my crash course refresher in the software. I utilized Adobestock templates and music, existing game assets, and design styles to expedite the process.
What I’d do differently next time
I would spend more time finessing the editing and timing of the music. I’d also utilize more of the art assets.

Social Media Animations
Overview
While at The Hippo, I begain exploring motion graphics for social media marketing. I look forward to expanding my experience in this area with future projects.
Approach
My approach was to utilize then-emerging web-based tools like PlaceIt and Canva to create dynamic but short motion graphics. I wanted to maintain a strong brand voice across posts, but mix up formats to retain novelty over a months-long campaign. What you see here is an assortment from different Best Of campaigns.
What I’d do differently next time
Simply, I’d use the latest verson of these same tools. Since I’ve made these graphics, there are even more interesting and effective features in applications like Canva- AI automations and suggestions, auto-generated captions, and graphics-to-audio syncing.

Overview
Create quick but engaging motion graphics that helped illustrate game mechanics for the board game Canvas Classics.
Approach
My approach was to utilize existing assets in Blender, rendering simple animations and overlaying text effects in Premiere Pro. These needed to be short and snappy, so I reduced each animation to one game rule example.
What I’d do differently next time
For the next animated infographic, I’d research compression methods that better preserved quality. To save time, I’d utilize a platform like Canva for quicker editing,

Overview
The client needed a simple motion graphics clip to insert into a low budget documentary on how fiat currency and taxation worked.
Approach
My approach was to keep the animations simple and clear, utilizing stock art to save time as we were working within a tight budget.
What I’d do differently next time
I would update the look of the stock art so it felt more fresh and contemporary. I’d also look at Canva as a simplier and quicker tool to create the clip.
